First Impressions

Why do you need a professional head shot? Because:

Today's Take

Our friend Carolyn Thomas came over for a short photo session. We set up in our professional portrait photography studio in Falls Church, Va. We had a lot of fun, ate a deviled egg or two, sampled some hummus and in general just played around. The first challenge was to only use one light with large photo umbrella on seamless white background. The second – and more difficult – challenge was to keep the background even and white. How did we do?

Backlit Portraits

How about a foggy day for soft light and a clean background?

How about a sunny Fall day for a bright, colorful background?

Many thanks to Barbara J for being such a good model.

Bethany C. in Natural Light

My friend Bethany C. came over for a headshot to use on LinkedIn and Facebook - Social Media. We used the wonderful natural windowlight in a stairwell.
